Semester start and funding

Semester start 2011:
January 9 - June 4 (21 weeks)
February 27 - June 4 (14 weeks)

If you are over the age of 18 and from one of the new EU countries (see list below), your stay at Vallekilde Communications College is almost fully funded by the Danish State through the Danish Agency for International Education.

The only thing you have to pay yourself is an admission fee of 135 € and a tuition fee of 300 € plus expenses for the study trip (500 €).

To obtain the grant from the Danish State you must participate in courses of a minimum duration of 12 weeks. If  you leave before, the grant is cancelled, and all costs are to be paid by you.

You do not need to apply for the grant yourself as this is administered through us. If you wish to attend our course next spring, all you need to do is fill in the application form and e-mail it to vallekilde@vallekilde.dk.

We will later let you know, if you have been admitted and send you the official admission papers, where we also will ask you to pay the admission fee. The rest of the money you pay upon arrival to the school.

What's the Danish Agency for International Education?
The Danish Agency for International Education is an independent, governmental institution connected to the Danish Ministry of Education. It was established in July 2000 as a merger of activities previously carried out by several centres.

It is Danish coordination agency for the three major educational programmes of the European Union, Socrates, Leonardo, Youth, and for a number of other programmes and schemes that contribute to international cooperation in education and training.

The agency assists schools and universities with information on student and staff exchanges and on transnational cooperation and intercultural understanding. They cover all parts of education and training as well as youth activities taking place outside the formal educational system.

The Danish Agency for International Education is a knowledge centre, collating and distributing information to the Danish educational sector and to foreign nationals who want information about the Danish system.
