Vallekilde’s Musicians Line offers an intensive course in Jazz, Rock and related genres

Based on ensemble playing, we focus on improvisation, chords and melody interpretation. In addition, we have classes in music theory and arrangement, ear and rhythmical training, and music history. This makes Vallekilde’s International Musicians Line a good preperation if you plan to apply for an academical music education.

We take students from all European countries, which gives an inspiring, international environment, with music as a shared core value

Together, you will be playing concerts in Vallekilde’s concert hall, but also at other venues. In addition to daily classes, you will experience concerts, workshops and master classes with artists from the Danish and international jazz elite.
Furthermore, we offer good recording facilities, which give you the opportunity to record a CD with your fellow students.

Who can get admitted?
You should have two or more years of experience on your main instrument. Chord instrumentalists (piano, guitar and bass) should have basic knowledge of chords and chord reading, and melody instrumentalists (brass and woodwinds) should have basic skills in sight reading.
